Nafakhum Waterfall

Nafakhum Waterfall is a stunning waterfall located in the Bandarban district of Bangladesh. It is one of the most beautiful and majestic waterfalls in the country, and is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.

Nafakhum Waterfall is situated in the remote village of Remakri, about 60 kilometers from Bandarban town. To reach the waterfall, visitors have to take a boat ride from Remakri to the foot of the waterfall, which takes about 2 hours.

The boat ride to Nafakhum Waterfall is an adventure in itself, as visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sangu River and the surrounding hills and forests. The waterfall is about 25 meters high and is surrounded by lush green forests and rocky cliffs. The water cascades down the rocks into a large pool, which is perfect for swimming and cooling off on a hot day.

Nafakhum Waterfall is located in a remote and unspoiled area, and visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the waterfall in a peaceful and tranquil environment. The area around the waterfall is inhabited by the Bawm and Marma tribes, and visitors can experience the local culture and way of life of these communities.

Nafakhum Waterfall Trekking Travel Itinerary: 

Day 1: Chittagong – Bandarban –  Thanchi

We leave Chittagong early morning and will pass by Bandarban and Thanchi with lunch on the way. We’ll arrive at Remakri in the late afternoon by private car and will stay in a local basic guesthouse.

Day 2 and 3: Trekking to Nafakhum Waterfall

After registration we’ll go by boat from Thanchi to Remakri, which will take 4 hours and will be quite challenging. We’ll be in Remakri by noon and will have lunch here. Today we’ll be staying at a tribal house and visit the local area. The next day we’ll start our journey at 5 am and walk for 3 hours to the falls where you’ll visit not just the falls but also the rest of the surrounding place. On the way back we’ll visit the waterfall ‘Remakri Khum’. Afterwards we’ll get back to Thanchi where we’ll stay for the night.

Day 4: Thanchi – Chittagong

The long way back to Chittagong by car. We’ll bring you to your hotel. End of tour.
