Keokradong Hiking Tour From Chittagong

Our hiking tour starts by car from Chittagong from where we’ll drive to Bandarban, hitting several beautiful spots on the way before checking in at the hotel.

Bandarban is a district located in the southeastern part of Bangladesh, known for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. Some of the popular attractions in Bandarban include the Golden Temple, a magnificent Buddhist temple adorned with gold-plated ornaments and beautiful decorations, and Shoilo Propat, a picturesque waterfall surrounded by scenic hills and forests. Visitors can also explore the Chimbuk Hill, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and is a popular spot for hiking and trekking.

From Bandarban we’ll go to Keokradong, the highest peak in Bangladesh, located in the Bandarban district. It is a popular trekking destination for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. The peak stands at an elevation of 1,230 meters above sea level and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Along the way, visitors can witness the beauty of the surrounding landscapes, which include lush green forests, sparkling waterfalls, and pristine rivers. Day 1: Chittagong – Bandarban 
Today we’ll drive to Bandarban hitting some of the most beautiful spots in the area before arriving in town. We’ll get to see the Golden Temple, Shoilo Propat Waterfall and drive the winding Nilachal Road towards the top. The area is also rich in tribal villages we can visit. We’ll stay in Bandarban for the night.

The Golden Temple, also known as the Buddha Dhatu Jadi, is a prominent Buddhist temple located in Bandarban, Bangladesh. It is one of the largest and most beautiful temples in the country, and it is an essential pilgrimage site for Buddhists. The temple is situated on a hilltop surrounded by lush green forests, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. The Golden Temple is adorned with gold-plated ornaments and beautiful decorations that glitter in the sunlight, creating a serene and peaceful ambiance. The statue is made of bronze and measures 45 feet in height, making it one of the largest Buddha statues in Bangladesh. Day 2: Hike To The Keokradong Summit

Today we’ll hike to the top of Keokradong. We’ll provide picnic to have lunch on the way. In the evening we’ll stay on the top in a cottage.

Day 3: Boga Lake

In the morning we’ll trek to Boga Lake where we’ll have traditional lunch. We will explore a local village in the area afterwards.

Day 4: Ruma Bazar – Bandarban

We’ll start our day with a visit to Ruma Bazaar, a bustling marketplace located in the Ruma Upazila of the Bandarban district in Bangladesh. The market is known for its vibrant atmosphere and the unique products that are available for sale. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike who come to shop for a variety of goods.

Visitors to Ruma Bazaar can expect to find a wide range of items for sale, including traditional handicrafts, locally-grown produce, and everyday essentials such as clothing and groceries. The market is also known for its fresh and flavorful fruits and vegetables, which are sourced from nearby farms.
One of the unique features of Ruma Bazaar is the opportunity to interact with the indigenous communities that reside in the area. We’ll meet with the local artisans who create beautiful handicrafts such as baskets, textiles, and jewelry using traditional methods. The locals are known for their warm hospitality and are always eager to share their culture and traditions with visitors. Afterwards we’ll head back to Bandarban and stay another night.

Day 5: Back to Chittagong

After breakfast we’ll bring you back to Chittagong. End of tour.
