Boga Lake Hiking Tour From Chittagong

For our tour we’ll go to Bandarban, where we’ll visit the Golden Temple, Nilachal and the Shoilo Propat waterfall. We’ll continue to Ruma Bazaar and will then go to Boga Lake on our second day and after an overnight stay we’ll return to Chittagong.

Bandarban is a beautiful district located in the southeastern part of Bangladesh. It is known for its picturesque landscape, lush green forests, and numerous natural attractions. Among the many popular tourist spots in Bandarban, the Golden Temple, Nilachal, and Shoilo Propat Waterfall stand out as must-visit destinations.

The Golden Temple, also known as the Buddha Dhatu Jadi, is a magnificent Buddhist temple located in the heart of Bandarban town. It is a popular pilgrimage site for Buddhists from all over the world. The temple complex consists of a large prayer hall, a meditation center, and a pagoda-style main temple. The main temple houses a gold-plated statue of Lord Buddha, which is one of the largest in the country. The serene and peaceful atmosphere of the Golden Temple makes it an ideal place for meditation and contemplation. 

Nilachal is another popular tourist destination in Bandarban, known for its scenic beauty and panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It is located on top of a hill, about 5 kilometers from Bandarban town. To reach the top, visitors can either trek up the hill or take a jeep ride. At the top of the hill, there is a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, as well as a viewpoint that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Shoilo Propat Waterfall, also known as the Shuvolong Waterfall, is a stunning waterfall located in the remote village of Milanchari, about 25 kilometers from Bandarban town. The waterfall is surrounded by dense forests and towering cliffs, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Visitors can take a dip in the crystal clear pool at the base of the waterfall or go for a hike in the surrounding forests. 

Ruma Bazaar is a small town located in the Bandarban district of Bangladesh. It is situated at an altitude of about 2,290 feet above sea level and is known for its scenic beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Ruma Bazaar is surrounded by lush green hills and forests, and is a popular destination for trekking and hiking enthusiasts.

Apart from trekking, Ruma Bazaar is also known for its vibrant local market. The market is held every Tuesday and is a bustling hub of activity. Visitors to Ruma Bazaar can find a variety of local products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, handcrafted items, and traditional textiles. One of the main attractions in Ruma Bazaar is the Ruma Bazaar Waterfall, also known as the Tareng Waterfall. The waterfall is situated about 5 kilometers from the town and is surrounded by dense forests and rocky cliffs. Visitors can take a dip in the cool and refreshing water or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the waterfall.

Ruma Bazaar is also home to several ethnic communities, including the Marma and Bawm tribes. Visitors can experience the local culture and way of life of these communities by staying in traditional bamboo houses and trying out the local cuisine.

Boga Lake is a natural lake located in the Bandarban district of Bangladesh. It is a popular tourist destination known for its breathtaking natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The lake is situated at an altitude of about 1,200 meters above sea level and is surrounded by lush green hills and dense forests. Boga Lake is unique because of its clear and pristine water, which is said to have medicinal properties. The lake is also surrounded by several small waterfalls and streams, which add to its natural beauty. 

The area around Boga Lake is inhabited by the Bawm tribe, one of the indigenous communities of Bangladesh. Visitors to Boga Lake can experience the local culture and way of life of the Bawm tribe by staying in the traditional bamboo houses and trying out the local cuisine. The best time to visit Boga Lake is from November to March when the weather is cool and pleasant. 

Boga Lake Itinerary: 

Day 1: Chittagong To Bandarban

We’ll have a beautiful drive to Bandarban today and will visit several sites on the way like the Golden Temple, Nilachal and Shoilo Propat Waterfall. We’ll stay at a local midrange hotel in Bandarban for the night.

Day 2: Ruma Bazar – Boga Lake 

After breakfast we’ll explore the town of Ruma Bazaar, where we’ll also have lunch, after which we’ll go to Boga Lake to explore the area and stay overnight at a typical tribal wooden house and enjoy local meals.

Day 3: Chingri Waterfalls And Cave Exploring

In the morning we’ll hike to Chingri Falls and we’ll also explore some caves near Boga Lake. We’ll be back in Bandarban in the early evening and stay for one night in town.

Day 4:Bandarban To Chittagong By Car

After breakfast we’ll bring you back to Chittagong. End of tour.
