Rema-Kalenga Forest Reserve Forest is a wonderful place which makes a nice day trip if you are traveling to Sylhet and are looking for a hiking tour. This dry evergreen forest is located near the border with India and actually consists of two different forests: Rema and Kalenga, which are connected. During our trip we’ll be on the lookout for animals and will also witness tribal culture such as the Oraw, Munda and Tripura who have been inhabiting the area since long.

We’ll pick you up at your hotel in the morning and will then drive towards the entrance of the Kalenga forest for a walk which will take approximately three hours, followed by lunch. Afterwards we’ll go to the Rema section while looking for kingfishers, eagles, parrots, monkeys, wild dogs and more. We’ll head back to Sylhet in the late afternoon.
